First of all, I adore my volunteers who give me wonderful moments of happiness, because for me connecting with people is my passion: I never hesitate before hiding in their arms to get my dose of hugs and love! They say that I’m charming (without false modesty, of course!) But I prefer the company of people, not the company of my relatives, whom I cannot identify most of the time, which creates some disappointments and misunderstandings. “Hello to you, yes, it’s true, I’m handsome. My name is Billy Joe. Yes, I have an American name that everyone loves. At almost eight years old, I’m still the king of tricks! As soon as my volunteers come to pick me up, I get very excited, I make them so happy that it is difficult for them to tie me up. I am a dynamic dog that needs exercise, but I know how to be gentle and affectionate when someone agrees to give it to me. In my future home, I will need high fences and a well-fenced yard. And in my wildest dreams is a big pool or walks near water bodies, because, how can I tell you, I am a swimming fanatic: jumping into the pools available at the shelter when the temperature in Normandy rises is my hobby! I look a bit like Florent Manauda from SPAE and it makes a lot of bipedal friends laugh! »

Two hundred dogs and cats are waiting for a devoted owner at the Society for the Protection of Animals Evreux. They can be accepted in exchange for an amount covering veterinary expenses. The dog is microchipped, vaccinated and sterilized: 190 €; chipped, vaccinated and neutered bitch: 260 euros; castrated, vaccinated and microchipped cat: 110 euros; spayed, vaccinated and microchipped cat: 160 euros. Arrangements are possible in case of adoption of old dogs and cats. Bring ID and recent proof of address.
